Towards an Open Ontology for Renewable Resource Management in Smart Self-Sustainable Human Settlements

This paper proposes an open ontology for self-sustainable human settlements in effort to set the common language modelling systems and address issues regarding heterogeneity of physical devices, protocols, software components, data message formats other relevant factors, which proved be unavoidable implementations smart domain self-sustainability, homes, Internet things, energy management systems, demand side related areas research engineering. Although existing body is showing significant results related, specialized areas, currently there no formal available would bring diversity such efforts under a single umbrella thus enhance integrate efforts, often pointed out by researchers fields. discuses self- sustainable associated argues need development, presents its scope, development methodology, domain’s architecture metamodel, finally proposed itself, implemented OWL format.
